APPENDIX
Part A:
Part B: __________ Passport No __________ As one of the school English teachers.
AFTER friendly negotiation and consultation, the two parties unanimously have reached the agreement underlying the following clauses:
Clause I: Engagement Treatment
1.Accomodation
PARTY B will be offered one single room with an exclusive toilet room and in side the room an air conditioner, a TV set and a computer. Some needed furniture etc, free of charge. The apartments are in the school.
2. Meals:
THREE meals provided free of charge at school dining room.
3.International Airfare
Reimbursement of international airfare of Party B and Party A will meet Party B at the international airport.
4.Travelling Allowance:
Holiday Allowance amounting to 1100RMB.
5.Others:
PROVIDING of Work Permit and the residence permit in China.
TRANSPORTATION within the city whenever it is necessary.
Clause II. Contract Teaching Hours
1. Usual Jobs:
ONE week forms a session, 5 days for work followed by 2 days off (Saturday and Sunday). Party B has 18 periods every week, including listening and speaking lessons of JeniorⅠⅡ students(14hours).
1. Part B is to have 14 working hours per week in Party A's School, and is not allowed to accept part time teaching jobs at other schools or language training centers. According to the related education laws, during the engagement period, Party B shall observe Chinese Law and school regulations, and fulfill all obligations in accordance with conscientiously. Party B shall return to the school before ten o’clock at night or inform Party A of being out.
2.The group activities inside the apartment building are not allowed without Party A’s permission.
3. Unauthorized use of an electric stove or rewiring electrical fittings in the room is strictly forbidden.
4.Both parties should respect each other’s customs.
Clause IV: Teaching
(1). Party B should consult the head of the teaching group to draft teaching outlines and progress plans, and these should be handed in to the dean with the first two weeks.
(2). TEACHING materials, foreign films and video films included, chosen by Party B can be used only with the coworker’s permission.
(3). Party B is always encouraged to adopt the best teaching methodologies.
(4). Party B is always required to keep their lesson plans for inspection and all the teaching plans will be kept in the Foreign Affairs Office.
(5). Party B should conduct their classes according to the teaching hours and the contents stipulated in the contract, and the specified teaching times on the school timetable. No unilateral of unauthorized increasing, reducing, suspending or changing of teaching assignments are allowed.
(6). Party B should begin and conclude the class on time.
(7). ONLY class-related materials can be taught in classrooms.
(8). Party B is required to take part in the teaching research and other academic activities.
(9). AT the end of each term, Party B is required to hand in two copies of their written work reports. One copy is for the concerned teaching group and the other goes to the Foreign Affairs Office.
Clause V: Teaching Inspection.
(1) IN order to evaluate the quality and progress of teaching, Party A will irregularly appraise Party B’s teaching (including class observing, individual talk, informal discussion, review of class notes and homework correction). In this connection, Party B is expected to offer full cooperation.
(2) BASED on the results of appraisal, Party A will commend the good, point out faults and weaknesses and put forward suggestions for improvement.
(3) According to teaching needs our school will evaluate and assess foreign teachers’ teaching quality at the end of each semester. Party B is required to offer cooperation.
Clause VI: LEAVE OF ABSENCE
SICK LEAVE
(1) IF Party B is unable to conduct a scheduled class because of illness, he/she should obtain a doctor’s sick leave certificate (from school clinic or appointed hospital).
(2) THE sick leave certificate should be handed in to the Foreign Affairs Office within the first day of illness (no later than the following morning).
(3) If the total sick leave is less than thirty days, she will get 100% of her salary, If not, the salary will be 70% until he recovers.
(4)IF sick leave occurs without a certificate, or the sick leave certificate is delayed, these two cases will be regarded as absence without just cause.
LEAVE FOR PERSONAL BUSINESS
(1) LEAVE application for personal business should be made to the Foreign Affairs Office one week in advance. For each day that the leave is granted, a sum equivalent to 1/30 monthly salary will be deducted.
(2) THE total days of leave for personal business may not exceed one week in a term and the continuous leave can’t exceed three days. If one day exceeded, Party A will deduct the salary of two days. If Party B is absent from work without leave for one day, Party A will deduct the salary of three days.
LEAVE WITHOUT JUST CAUSE
(1) UNAUTHORISED changing, stopping or finding a substitute to take a class.
(2) BEING over 20 minutes late for class or concluding the class 20 minutes early.
(3) SALARY deduction pro rata according to teaching hours will be imposed for leave without just cause. The deduction for each teaching hour is 1/30 of the monthly salary.
(4) BESIDES making such salary deduction, the institute will criticize, help and warn any teacher to whom these provisions may apply.
2.Temporary Jobs:
Party B has the obligations to carry out some temporary jobs from the school.
Clause III. About the Contract:
